2024-2025 PTCAS Application Cycle:
- The requirement of 100 observation hours is reinstated for this application cycle.
- Human Anatomy with lab and Human Physiology with lab (or A&P series with lab) require in-person labs.
- Online labs are acceptable for the Physics series, Chemistry series, and General Biology.
- The 4 semester hour (or equivalent) General Biology with lab prerequisite is required (no substitutions).
- The 3 semester hour (or equivalent) additional Biology without lab (not Botany) prerequisite can be substituted with Exercise Physiology.
- The U.S. Air Force will only consider applications from USAF Active Duty, AFROTC, or USAMA Cadets. Applicants that are not military affiliated will be considered by the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.
- ROTC Cadets: Are NOT eligible to apply prior to graduation without an approved Education Delay. ROTC Cadets without an approved delay must commission first, submit a Conditional Branch Release PAR (IPPS-A) to their local COC, Thru Branch (Chief), to USAREC (Commander), then apply during the following application cycle.

COVID-19 Prerequisite Policy
Prerequisite Courses (Spring 2020 through Fall 2022 Terms)
This policy exception is applicable to all prerequisite courses with a lab component that was originally scheduled in-person and forced to temporarily transition online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Courses that fall into this category will be accepted for prerequisite credit. Lab courses that are delivered permanently online continue to be unacceptable for prerequisite credit.
If a prerequisite course transitioned to a non-letter grade, the course will be accepted if it was successfully completed.

Applicants applying to the Army-Baylor University entry-level physical therapist education program will apply online using the Physical Therapy Centralized Application Service (PTCAS). The annual application cycle opens in early July and closes 15 September. To learn more about the PTCAS application process, visit www.ptcas.org. Program Facts
The Army-Baylor University Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy is an accredited, entry-level and tri-service (Army, Navy, Air Force) physical therapy educational program located at the Army Medical Center of Excellence on Joint Base San Antonio-Ft Sam Houston, TX. Our DPT program allows students to earn a salary while incurring a 90 month active duty service obligation (ADSO) working as a military physical therapist. All tuition and fees are covered by the uniformed services and selected applicants must join the military to attend. Interested applicants should contact the Regional U.S. Army Health Care Recruiting Counselor in their geographical area for more information on direct commission and information on eligibility to become an officer.
